In keeping with a commitment – below is the most recent letter sent to parents

Parents/Guardians,

We are off to a fantastic start at HHS! It’s been energizing to see our hallways filled with students and classrooms buzzing with learning. Thank you for reinforcing at home the importance of being on time, taking learning seriously, and striving to grow each day. Your partnership makes all the difference.

Our teachers are doing an incredible job. In a future update, I’ll share last year’s testing results, but I can already tell you they continue to raise the bar for learning and are outperforming state averages in many areas. Kudos to their dedication and hard work!

We’ve also appreciated the way students have embraced our cell phone expectations. Many have admitted that while they didn’t like the change at first, they now feel less distracted and more focused—a big win for learning.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the “H”, a symbol of pride and tradition in our community. We invite you to join us for Homecoming Week and bring the whole family to our parade on Friday September 12 at 11:10 AM. The route begins near Three Falls Elementary on 650 South, travels east on 400 South, and then north on 300 West. It’s a wonderful tradition that brings out Tiger pride and community spirit.

Our fall programs are already off to a strong start:

  • đŸŽŸÂ Girls Tennis: 1-1 in region play, including a big win over Cedar.

  • 🏈 Football: 3-0 heading into tomorrow’s matchup with Grantsville.

  • 🏃 Cross Country: continuing to shine with outstanding performances.

  • ⛳ Golf: celebrating impressive individual results and stronger team scores.

  • 🏐 Volleyball: remaining a powerhouse as they head into a weekend tournament.

  • ⚜ Girls Soccer: off to a strong start with multiple wins.

And of course, the HHS Band continues to be amazing, bringing energy and spirit to every event!

Last week’s RUSH Week was another highlight, with so many students signing up for clubs, teams, and activities. Research is clear—students who are involved in extracurriculars earn higher grades, attend more consistently, and achieve greater success overall. Thank you for encouraging your student to get involved.

We are excited for everything this year will bring and grateful for the support you continue to give your student, our teachers, and our school.

With gratitude,

Daniel McKeehan
