LETTER TO PARENTS (OCT 7, 2025)

As we wrap up the first quarter at HHS, I wanted to share some exciting highlights! It’s been a fantastic start to the year, filled with incredible achievements from our students, teachers, and clubs.

Last night’s Orchestra concert was truly impressive—the growth and talent of our students have been amazing to witness. Tonight at 7:00 PM, our Choir takes the stage, and we hope you’ll join us in supporting them. They continue to shine as one of Utah’s top choirs, led by passionate educators who set high standards for excellence.

Our athletic programs are thriving! State soccer takes place this weekend, state tennis wrapped up last week, boys golf competes this week at state, and region cross country runs today. Volleyball earned a big win over Snow Canyon, football celebrated an exciting victory, and our mountain biking club continues to grow with outstanding participation.

In the classroom, our Fine Arts and CTE programs are thriving with creativity and dedication. Dance and Drama recently attended the Shakespeare Festival—an incredible opportunity for our students to showcase their talent and school pride.

As we celebrate these successes, please continue to help us reinforce the importance of being on time to class. Students who arrive promptly consistently earn higher grades, more credits, and fewer disciplinary issues—an important life skill that pays off far beyond high school.

Recently, KUTV News featured a great story on our new Teen Center, designed to assist students with various needs. Take a moment to read it [HERE].

Thank you for your continued support. Hurricane High is a GREAT school filled with amazing students, teachers, and staff!

Regards,

Daniel McKeehan
