Letter to parents 10_15_2024
Dear HHS Families,
As we approach the end of quarter one, I wanted to share some exciting updates and achievements from our school community. Please take a moment to view our latest “Tiger’s Roar” quarterly newsletter attached to this email, where you can read more about the great things our students are doing.
Over the past two weeks, we’ve celebrated some remarkable activities:
- Our Choir and Orchestra, both top performers in the state, delivered awe-inspiring concerts showcasing incredible student talent.
- The recent Band and Dance Shakespeare festival highlighted the dedication and hard work of these students, who continue to impress both at events, recitals, concerts, and games.
- In sports news, our Girl’s Tennis team saw two athletes win their first-round state games, marking a significant improvement from last year.
- Girls Soccer has made strides this season, qualifying for state and demonstrating remarkable resilience and determination while adding to their win total.
- Girls Volleyball continues to shine, currently ranked second in the region and among the state’s best. Join us for their final home game at HHS on October 22nd at 7 pm for an exciting evening.
- Debate continues to grow and provide great opportunities for our students, hats off to our remarkable Debate team!
Our football team has shown tremendous growth this year, winning more games and competing fiercely. Don’t miss their final home game this WEDNESDAY evening at 7 pm at HHS, where we invite you to cheer them on, help us pack the stands!
Following Fall Break (October 17-21), we’re excited to host our first of two community learning walks. More details will follow, but we encourage all parents to join us for this hour-long event to experience firsthand the engagement and learning environment at HHS.
Lastly, please join us in welcoming Brittany Kroff to our Social Studies department. A former HHS graduate, Brittany brings a wealth of passion and enthusiasm to our team.
Thank you for your continued support of HHS and our students. Together, we look forward to a successful continuation of the school year.
Warm regards,
Daniel McKeehan
