VOLLEYBALL TEAM HONORS “TEAM CADEN”

Caden was diagnosed with Hepatocellular Malignancy (NOS) (liver cancer) in April 2022.  He did three rounds of aggressive chemo followed by a liver transplant in July 2022. He did three additional chemo rounds after transplant which took two months longer than expected with platelets not recovering and infection of the transplanted liver.

Caden has battled many complications from an infection in his intestines, countless ER visits, and overcame complications from transplant. One year ago was a revision surgery to try and SUCCEED to fix his bile duct! He will celebrate his two years from completion of chemo this November.

Caden is back at school full time after missing all of first grade and half of second grade. His most recent complication was his front tooth being broke in half.  Chemotherapy makes his teeth weaker. A small price to pay for him to still be with us today. Thanks to a great dentist it looks better than before.
