Letter to Parents 9/6/2024

Dear Parents,

I’m excited to share the latest Utah School Report Card data with you. This information will be released on the state website in the coming weeks. Please click on the attachments to review the data and see the growth we have achieved. We are very encouraged by the progress we’ve made as a school and remain committed to continuously evaluating and refining our teaching practices to further support our students’ learning and improve as a school.

We are equally thrilled to share our recently released CTE (Career and Technical Education) results. Hurricane High continues to lead out in CTE performance, ranking number one in the Washington County School District (WCSD) in the following CTE courses: Accounting II, Business Law, Economics, Commercial Photography, Advanced Welding, Culinary Arts, Woods I, Computer Programming, Game Development, Engineering Principles I & II, Intro to Screen Printing, and Digital Print Design. Intro to Screen Printing has also been recognized as the number one program in the entire state of Utah, Mrs. Gumucio does an AWESOME job.

In addition to these achievements, many of our other CTE classes ranked second in the WCSD. We are currently in discussions with Dixie Tech to add more “job-ready” classes for the upcoming school year, further enhancing our outstanding CTE offerings.
