Minutes:
Meeting began with the introduction of the group and new board member Beau Drury. Mr. Mckeehan discussed the purpose of the community council, and the origination and how we use the funds for the council and academic improvements at HHS.
Travis Christiansen- Noted that he is willing to continue to serve as the council chair. The support in retention of his seat was motioned by Kraig Stowe, and seconded by Beau Drury. The vote was carried unanimously.
Jacob Ruesch was nominated for vice-chair. Motion seconded by Chelsey Vick, the vote carried unanimously.
Kraig Stowe nominated for secretary by Kris Long, seconded by Anthony Vick. The vote carried unanimously.
Mr. Mckeehan opened the planned budget for 2026-2027 school year and discussed areas in which we’d still like to improve and things working well that we would like to maintain. (ELL paraprofessionals, student mentors, School of Life).
Aubrey shared some details of our mentoring program, and success with students who had moved to Millcreek for graduation. Kris Long shared information about the School of Life program.
